This filter cartridge is washable and can be re-used several times !

For rural water such as tank-water, spring water or bore water, the water supply needs a sediment and debris filter to protect the taps and secondary filters from clogging up and becoming useless. This 20" Whole House sediment filter is doing the job !

Capacity: 6-18 months depending on the amount of water used and the amount of dirt and sediment being filtered;

When do you know that you need to replace the cartridge ?

When the pressure in the house drops, which you for example will notice when you shower, then you replace the filter. We recommend to have a spare filter cartridge on the shelf so that you are ready any time. The cartridges are throw-away cartridges meaning they cannot be washed.  The kit comes with a spanner so that you can replace the cartridge yourself.
