WELLNESS - Newsletter March 2011

march 2011

Hi

The events in the world have left us shocked and speechless. We have been feeling with our people in Christchurch. Last week we visited ChCh, and connected with some friends affected by the earthquake. We saw the devastation ourselves.
christchurch-earthqu-sm.jpg
One part of our mission to go Christchurch also related to a special and touching donation from one of our water ionizer manufacturers: Homay water ionizers in Shenzhen, China. They contacted us and expressed their condolences and their compassion for Christchurch. They also stated their upsetness that a number of Chinese people died in the earthquake.
They extended their care to ChCh by donating several water ionizers. We have agreed to assist the process, and therefore our company Ionza Ltd is donating the time and energy to place the ionizers.  We are currently in process to decide on entities where they are best positioned so that a greater number of people can get the benefit, such as schools, hospital, police force, or similar.
If you have some thoughts on this, please contact us. We would appreciate it.

In the aftermath of the various events in NZ we acknowledged that lots of people are more open to relating and greeting, the community spirit has been growing. A ray of light in what is a very challenging time.
regards
Joseph & Brook

Rebecca's journey to alkalise

-  The pH in the body and how ionized water can help majorly next to a healthy diet to turn the body more alkaline:
by Rebecca Reiderwoman-drinking-water.jpg
Many health practitioners now believe that the pH level in our bodies is one of the most fundamental variables influencing our health. The bad news: modern life is, quite literally, an acid trip: diets high in processed foods, popular beverage choices (fizzy drinks, alcohol, coffee) and plain old stress and fear all make us acidic.
healthy-veggies.jpgThe good news: there are a variety of ways to alkalise the body, and the positive ripple effects on health from this one change can affect literally every bodily system and every disease process.  by Rebecca Reider

how to stay clear of cancer naturally .....

Cancer of any type usually provokes instant fear. Some types can be treated successfully, some not.

cancer-cell.jpg But what is cancer? Cancer harms the body when damaged cells divide uncontrollably to form lumps or masses of tissue called tumors (except in the case of leukemia where cancer prohibits normal blood function by abnormal cell division in the blood stream). Tumors can grow and interfere with the digestive, nervous, and circulatory systems, and they can release hormones that alter body function. Tumors that stay in one spot and demonstrate limited growth are generally considered to be benign.

More dangerous, or malignant, tumors form when two things occur:
a cancerous cell manages to move throughout the body using the blood or lymph systems, destroying healthy tissue in a process called invasion that cell manages to divide and grow, making new blood vessels to feed itself in a process called angiogenesis.

Cancer — a Paradigm Shift
by Mauris Emeka

Statistics are often presented attempting to show that progress is being made in the battle against cancer. But regardless of how the numbers are presented, the bottom line is that cancer (in all of its forms) is fast overtaking heart related diseases as the number one cause of death in America. One hundred years ago one out of 33 people were diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Today one person out of three will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, and that ratio continues to grow. Cancer is affecting more and more people and at ever younger ages.

The malignant tumor commonly referred to as cancer is in reality an indication of a process within the body that has gone amiss — a malfunctioning process that needs to be halted.  Removing the tumor symptom (whether it’s done with surgery or with drugs) does not stop the process that caused the tumor to appear in the first place. In fact, eliminating the tumor is similar to swatting mosquitoes when what is needed is to eliminate the nearby swamp that breeds the mosquitoes.  The good news is that, given the right commitment to dietary and lifestyle changes, it is possible to eliminate the ‘swamp’ — e.g., the malfunctioning process that gives rise to cancerous tumors. With cancer it is not enough to merely focus on the effect. Instead, the major concern needs to be on the cause of this disease at the cellular level. To be sure, there needs to be a paradigm shift in the way we think about and respond to cancer.
Consider the following well-researched information as a starting point:

I.   Change the environment in your body to make it a lot less acidic and more alkaline.  Cancer thrives in an acid environment; and on the other hand your body functions best when its major fluids and most internal organs are slightly alkaline.  Remember to drink enough water during the day, and try to drink water that is slightly alkaline.

II.  Eat less cooked foods and a lot more live plant-based foods, especially a variety of deeply colored fruits and vegetables. In addition to excellent nutrition they are high in fiber, rich in enzymes that facilitate digestion, and they insure a healthy acid/alkaline pH balance.

III. Make an effort to greatly strengthen the immune system, because it is our primary defense against cancer.

IV. Remember to consume some foods each day that reduce inflammation, because inflammation adversely affects the immune system as well as the acid/alkaline balance in the body. Turmeric spice, aloe vera gel fresh from the aloe leaf, and fermented soy — these are excellent anti-inflammatory foods.

V.   Do things that cause more oxygen to be introduced into your body at the cellular level, because cancer cannot thrive where there is an abundance of oxygen.  (Dr. Otto Warburg, a German scientist, won the Nobel prize in 1931 for discovering that cancer cells are anaerobic, meaning that they generate energy without the need for oxygen). On the other hand, healthy cells thrive on oxygen, and deep breathing is one way to bring in more oxygen into the body. Also, eat raw green vegetables, and drink fresh squeezed juice from deep green leafy vegetables (like collards, kale, and Swiss chard greens). These greens are rich in chlorophyll, and chlorophyll enhances oxygen circulation.

VI. Cleanse your body. Make a serious effort to detoxify, because it greatly enhances your body’s ability to heal itself. Coffee enemas and ESSIAC tea are especially helpful for internal cleansing. (Tenzing Momo is an herb store in Seattle, WA that sells the herbal ingredients that make up ESSIAC tea).

VII. Take steps to reduce stress. Meditation, prayer, and moderate exercise — all are very helpful.

VIII. Eat primitive, that is, eat a high percentage of raw foods and whole foods. Among other things, this introduces more fiber into the body and insures better bowel regularity (stimulating 3 to 4 movements daily). Otherwise, bowel sluggishness contributes greatly to increased acidic body chemistry.

In closing, it’s time we stop thinking of cancer as some sort of localized disease, like a skinned knee, and thinking that if we detect and destroy a tumor symptom early enough then the problem is solved. It is not enough to merely manage tumor symptoms. We are dealing with a chronic metabolic disease that cries out for a holistic response, to include fundamental changes in our diet and lifestyle.  It is very important that we begin taking greater personal responsibility for our health and wellness, and commit to consuming a much higher percentage of unrefined, unprocessed, whole, natural, and plant-based foods.

When doing the things that help eliminate the threat of cancer, you will also be doing the same right things that will help ward off all the other conditions related to an acidic body: acid reflux, gout, colds/allergies, arthritis, intestinal disorders, etc.
